Welcome to Fit Kids Gymnastics Center, where kids come first! Serving the communities of the South Bay, we have two bright, welcoming locations. One in Redondo Beach and the other in Torrance. We offer gymnastics classes for children, gymnastics camps, birthday parties and competitive teams. Now in our 20th year, we are widely recognized as the preeminent gymnastics center in the South Bay.
We have taught more cartwheels to kids in the South Bay than all other gyms combined.
Gymnastics Classes
Starz Gymnastics Program
Our classes are for kids who love to climb, run, jump, and swing. They are for children who enjoy being upside down as much as right side up. Our classes are for dancers, acrobats, and cheerleaders. Most of all, they are for kids who just love doing gymnastics.
The Starz Gymnastics Program has been designed and perfected using our nearly 50 years of gymnastics teaching experience. With our one of a kind curriculum, specialized equipment and advanced teaching methods, we can ensure that our students receive the best instruction and the most positive experience possible.
Classes meet once per week and tuition is paid monthly. We offer convenient and flexible make up lesson options to accommodate busy parents.
Our Starz Gymnastics Program is divided into three parts: Starz Preschool Gym, Starz Academy, and Starz Tumbling.​
Starz Preschool Gym
Starz Preschool Gym is designed for children between the ages of two and four years. Focusing on the whole child, our classes contribute to the physical, cognitive and social development of our students.
Developing strength, improving, balance, and coordination are just the beginning. Our classes also help students develop movement skills that can only be achieved through gymnastics type activities.
Starz Preschool Gymnastics classes also develop our students’ fine and gross motor skills, memory, attention, and problem-solving skills.
Important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and cooperation are also emphasized. These skills enable students to enjoy new friends at gym and elsewhere.​
Starz Academy
Starz Academy is for children ages five and older. Our one of a kind program consists of 7 progressive levels, which allow students to safely learn gymnastics with confidence. Classes are taught by our attentive teachers, who lead their students through fun and educational lessons on bars, vault, balance beam, and tumbling. But wait, there’s more.
Trampoline! All Starz Academy classes include a fully integrated trampoline program at every level. We are the only gymnastics center in the South Bay to have such a program. Not only do our students learn gymnastics, they also learn trampoline safety and trampoline skills that serve to enhance their gymnastics progress on all of their other events.
Starz Tumbling
​​Our Starz Tumbling program provides excellent tumbling instruction for students of all levels. Whether you are a gymnast looking to improve your tumbling, a dancer interested in learning a walkover, or a cheerleader wanting to perfect your back handspring, Starz Tumbling can help you achieve your goals.
We have the equipment you need to learn safely, and the teachers you need to help you learn correctly. Our pit mats, spring floors, air floors, Tumbl-Trak and trampolines, combined with instruction from our knowledgeable coaches will help you learn skills the right way. We invite you to come and try it for yourself.
Gymnastics Team
The Waves
​If you have been to either of our gymnastics centers, you have probably noticed the first place banners or team trophies on display. Our younger students often ask their parents "how can I get one of those trophies?" The parent's answers usually include words like "dedication" and "hard work." Their answers are spot on. The trophies and banners were all earned by the hard-working gymnasts and coaches of our girls gymnastics team, the Waves.
Year after year, the Waves have been among the most successful teams in the state. Comprised of hard-working young gymnasts, and led by dedicated coaches, they have developed a strong reputation for gymnastics excellence. At their competitions, the gymnasts are regularly complimented by coaches and gymnasts from other teams. Likewise, the Waves coaches are regularly complimented by parents from other teams, exclaiming how attentive and supportive our coaches are with their Waves gymnasts.
As each new season arrives, you can be sure that the Waves will be working hard to proudly represent Fit Kids Gymnastics Center at all of their meets. Go Waves!
